Executive Summary

The Inn Room System system consists of compartmentalized refrigeration units located in each guest room, which communicate product vends through the existing CATV cable to a dedicated PC and the hotel Property Management System.

Each individual unit utilizes a quiet compressor for rapidly cooling the contents of the refrigeration section to a temperature of 38°F.  Visible to the guest at all times is a time-of-day display on the front panel that, as well being functional, calls attention to the unit.

A dedicated IBM or IBM compatible PC is utilized to generate a wide variety of management reports, including refill, utilization, audit, and diagnostic.

The computer receives information from each unit through the existing CATV cable, and is capable of operating in a stand-alone mode or interfaced with the Hotels PMS.

Inn Room Systems has made available to the hospitality industry a state-of-the-art in-room refreshment system for the convenience of the guest and a labor-saving amenity for the hotel.  As a profit center and as a great amenity, Inn Room Systems offers a significant improvement over other products that have been available in the past or currently on the market.

Inn Room Systems systems are manufactured in our facility in Wheeling, IL, a suburb of Chicago.  Since the unit is designed, manufactured, and serviced in the United States, our hardware and software support is prompt and reliable.

Inn Room Systems offers a reliable, state-of-the-art product backed by a team of proven sales and support professionals.  You can maximize profits and guest satisfaction with Inn Room System.

A Review of Remarkable Features

Inn Room Systems utilizes current state-of-the-art electronics, which means that the communications are accomplished much more quickly and straightforwardly than in old-style electronic bars.  When a guest removes a product, communication to the PMS takes place through the preexisting CATV cable.  The charge is immediately posted to the guest folio.

Prices are displayed on the LED on a keypad in the bar, and can be changed as frequently as you wish through the computer.  There is no need for costly tent cards, hang-tags, or other printed materials to be placed in the room.

The electronics of Inn Room System allow for minimum stock levels before the bars need to be restocked; only 15% to 20% of the bars require restocking each day.  This feature results in a true 5% labor factor over a consistent 40% "honor" bar labor cost, and keeps guest disturbances to a minimum.  The printer usage reports make front desk disputes a thing of the past and post-billing is non-existent.

Inn Room Systems offers the unique and distinct advantages of: 1) The ability to lock out liquor sales yet keep other profitable snacks and beverages available to your guests (very advantageous if there are children in the room and parent do not want them to have access to alcohol, or if there are underage guests checking in to the hotel); simple restocking without keys; 2) Steel exterior which will not warp and is covered to match your case goods (warping has been a very serious problem with in-room bars in the past); and, 3) Very importantly, a variety of sizes and shapes of products can be vended.

Inn Room System utilizes a silent compressor for cooling the interior.  Our compressor maintains a temperature of 38°F, providing for guest beverages to be at a temperature they prefer.  There are no loud defrosting noises since the unit is defrosted from a central computer program.

Our management reports are comprehensive as well as user-friendly.   There are as many reports as the hotel management would ever want to have.

A considerable amount of research and development was involved in the design of Inn Room System in order that we can offer a guest amenity which is aesthetically pleasing while providing the controls, safety, efficiency and profitability which the hotel requires.
