- IN THE BEGINNING
- There were no hotels.
- Weary travelers had to sleep in trees
- or stay in other people's houses
- and use other people's bathrooms.
-
- And this was not good.
|
- Then,
- someone (and nobody really knows who,
- but history suggests it was someone who
- traveled frequently on business)
- said:
- "LET THERE BE HOTELS."
|
- Places where people can stay
- and watch things on TV
- that they would never watch at home.
-
- And it was good.
|
- But alas, the rooms were barren
- and void of things to eat and drink.
- And travelers who were hungry
- or thirsty in the middle of the night
- were out of luck.
-
- And this was not good.
|
- Then someone said:
- "LET THERE BE MINIBARS."
- Small refrigerators
- with expensive sodas and stale peanuts.
-
- And for awhile this was good.
- But then it got old.
- And the people grew tired and suspicious
- of mini-bars.
|
- And then someone said:
- "LET THERE BE BETTER MINIBARS."
|
- Something to lift the spirits
- of the weary traveler.
-
- Something to nourish and fortify them
- in times of need.
- A haven for all things cold, fresh, and flavorful.
- Something so good and true,
- the name "minibar" will never do.
-
- Therefore, let it be called:
-
- ROOMSERVICE II MINIBAR!
|
- And so it is.
- RoomService II MiniBar
- is a beacon in the night
- for the harried business traveler,
- a refuge for the touring family.
-
- This is good.
-
- THIS IS REALLY, REALLY GOOD.
